Leeds Anglo-German Club
In addition to our Write Across Borders pairings of writers from Leeds and Dortmund, we’ve been delighted to foster email exchanges between members of Leeds Anglo-German Club and its counterpart in Dortmund.
There are people all over the UK, let alone Yorkshire, who - despite the falling number of young people opting to learn a language in our schools - have a vibrant interest in German history, culture and language. There are regular events hosted by Leeds Anglo-German Club, ranging from talks and socials to films and workshops.
Why different people have developed this connection - whether it’s casual interest, a family link, a personal story - makes for fascinating reading.
LD50 will be featuring some of these stories in the festival.
Full details of the Club are also available on our website www.leedsanglogerman.org
